CallCash — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 August 2026

The short version: CallCash has no servers and no accounts. Everything you type stays in the app's private storage on your iPhone. The app contains no networking code of its own and sends nothing to us — ever. The single exception is voicemail transcription: if on-device transcription cannot read a recording, the app asks whether to send that one file to Apple's speech service. It never does so without your tap. See section 4.

1. Who we are

CallCash is published by Salvatore Gencarelli. Contact: gencs923@gmail.com.

2. What the app stores, and where

CallCash stores the following on your device only, in the app's private container:

DataWhy it existsWhere it goes
Phone number, caller name, date and time of a callYou type these in to build a record of an unwanted callOn your device
Your answers about the call (prerecorded voice, autodialer signs, cell line, Do-Not-Call registry status, consent given or revoked)Used by the in-app analyzer to suggest which statutory elements your own answers appear to satisfyOn your device
Your notesContemporaneous notes you choose to writeOn your device
Your name and mailing addressPrinted on the demand letter you generateOn your device
Voicemail audio you import, and its transcriptAttached to a call record as evidenceOn your device

3. What the app does not do

4. Voicemail transcription

If you import a voicemail, CallCash first tries to transcribe it entirely on your iPhone, using Apple's Speech framework with requiresOnDeviceRecognition = true. In that mode the audio is not sent to Apple or to us.

When on-device transcription cannot read a file. Some recordings — carrier voicemail formats in particular — cannot be processed by the on-device model. When that happens CallCash stops and asks you. If, and only if, you tap “Transcribe with Apple's service,” that one recording's audio is sent to Apple to be transcribed, and Apple's handling of it is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We never receive a copy. Nothing is ever sent automatically, and nothing else in the app is transmitted at all.

iOS asks your permission before speech recognition is used either way, and you can decline or revoke it at any time in Settings.

Call-recording laws vary by state, and some require the consent of all parties. You are responsible for the legality of any audio you import.

5. Purchases

CallCash Premium is an auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details. The app asks Apple whether an active subscription exists and stores nothing about the transaction beyond that answer. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

6. Sharing a document you create

When you export a PDF evidence packet and use the share sheet, iOS hands the file to whatever destination you pick — Mail, Messages, Files, or another app. That is your action and your choice of recipient. Once the file leaves CallCash, the receiving app's own privacy policy governs it.

7. Retention and deletion

Your data stays on your device until you delete it. You can delete an individual call by swiping it in the Logged Calls list, and you can delete everything by deleting the app — iOS removes the app's entire private container with it. Because we hold no copy on any server, there is nothing for you to request from us and nothing for us to delete on your behalf.

8. Withdrawing consent

You accept the in-app terms on first launch. To withdraw, stop using the app and delete it; that removes all stored data. Speech-recognition permission can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings without affecting the rest of the app.

9. Children

CallCash is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
